High Hopes è il diciottesimo album di Bruce Springsteen.Il disco, registrato in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Australia e New York City, vede Springsteen collaborare con i membri della storica E-Street Band, con il grande chitarrista Tom Morello e molti altri musicisti. Tom Morello si è unito a Springsteen e alla E-Street Band nel marzo 2013, durante il tour australiano (dove ha sostituito Steve Van Zandt), diventando come lo definisce lo stesso Bruce, "la fonte di ispirazione che ha portato questo progetto a un altro livello".In High Hopes Tom Morello, oltre a suonare la chitarra e dare un tocco decisamente rock ad alcune canzoni dell'album, ha duettato con Springsteen in The Ghost of Tom Joad. Nel disco sono presenti anche Danny Federici e Clarence Clemons, i due storici membri della E-Street Band deceduti rispettivamente nel 2008 e nel 2011.High Hopes contiene 12 canzoni, in parte cover e in parte brani del repertorio di Springsteen, tutte risuonate, ricantate o comunque rielaborate.
