Nel 1997, Mike Portnoy (Transatlantic, Sons of Apollo, ex-Dream Theater), JohnPetrucci (Dream Theater), Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater) e Tony Levin (KingCrimson, Peter Gabriel) si unirono per creare Liquid Tension Experiment. L'incredibilecreatività tra il collettivo avrebbe spinto Petrucci e Portnoy a invitare Rudess aad unirsi ai Dream Theater, segnando di fatto la fine di questo progetto collaterale...Da allora, poche riunioni sono state più richieste. Ora, con il mondo in isolamentoe i calendari inaspettatamente allineati, l'inconcepibile è finalmente accaduto...Dopo più di 20 anni, questi quattro incredibili musicisti sono tornati insieme in studioper registrare "LTE3"!
