Da uno dei marchi storici del Jazz Britannico, torna finalmente alla luce in versione rimasterizzata un importante tassello nell\'incredibile mosaico lasciato da Joe Harriott, uno dei jazzisti più innovativi tra quelli apparsi in terra d\'Albione durante gli anni cruciali tra 50 e 60. "Swings High" registrato nel 1967 dopo le esotiche sperimentazioni di fusione con la musica tradizionale Indiana, vede Harriott tornare alle sue radici hard-bop in compagnia di un quintetto letteralmente di fuoco comprendente Stu Hamer - tromba, Pat Smythe - piano, Coleridge Goode - contrabbasso e il grande Phil Seamen - batteria. Sotto la guida del sassofonista Giamaicano, il gruppo rimette mano al vecchio repertorio della fine degli anni 50 imprimendo tutta l\'energia sviluppata nel corso dei ruggenti anni 60.
