Batterista torinese, medico,ambientalista, ha iniziato la sua attività musicale, militando in gruppi di rock e fusion quali l\'Esagono (1978), dopo una attività di batterista di musica leggera. Passato poi decisamente alla musica jazz, che ha approfondito sotto l\'aspetto tecnico strumentale con Bruno Biriaco prima ed Enrico Lucchini, Al Levit e Daniel Humair. Ha dato vita nel \'79 al gruppo del Combojazz con cui ha iniziato ad esibirsi in tutta Italia anche con altri gruppi e solisti jazz.
