Il batterista Billy Cobham era fresco del successo con la Mahavishnu Orchestra quando registrò questo album nel 1973, suo debutto da solista e suo miglior lavoro di sempre. La maggior parte dei brani lo vedono in a quartetto con il tastierista Jan Hammer, il chitarrista Tommy Bolin e il bassista elettrico Lee Sklar. Due pezzi vedono anche la partecipazione di Joe Farrell al flauto e al sax soprano e il trombettista Jimmy Owens insieme al chitarrista John Tropea, al bassista Ron Carter e a Ray Barretto alle congas.
