Eric Clapton pubblica il suo primo holiday album, Happy Xmas, in uscita il prossimo 12 Ottobre 2018 per la sua label Bushbranch Records con distribuzione Polydor/Universal.Happy Xmas è il 24. album in studio di Clapton ed il primo da I Still Do (2016). Contiene una nuova canzone composta per loccasione, For Love On Christmas Day ed alcuni dei più noti brani natalizi insieme ad altri meno conosciuti, tutti rivisti con il tocco bluesy di Clapton. Jingle Bells è inoltre dedicata alla memoria di Avicii, mentre il disegno della copertina è opera dello stesso Clapton."Avevo in mente da tempo di rileggere queste holiday song in chiave blues, ed ho iniziato a pensare ad arrangiare i brani ed inserire gli accordi blues tra i testi ha dichiarato Clapton, che ha anche co-prodotto Happy Xmas insieme a Simon Climie. A un certo punto ci sono riuscito e una delle canzoni più riconoscibili dellalbum, quella che ne identifica lo stile, è Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
