Con la lavorazione di Revolver appena terminata, i Beatles suonarono le loro prime date in Asia alla fine di giugno del 1966. A quel punto si erano stancati dei rigori e dei limiti delle tournée, ma il Giappone era una novità che aspettavano con ansia.
