Oregon, 1868. Diverse tribù di nativi americani sono state confinate in una riserva a nord dello Snake River, dove il Dr. Holden ha costruito una chiesa e numerosi indiani si sono convertiti adottando nomi cristiani. Il sergente Emmett Bell della cavalleria degli Stati Uniti ha l'incarico di mantenere l'ordine nella riserva. Quando la cavalleria, sotto il comando del Col.
