Il prof. Brody è uno scienziato lunatico e un po' distratto. Chiuso nel suo laboratorio, quasi dimentica dell'esistenza della moglie e del figlio adolescente Scottie. Quando il ragazzino è bocciato alle selezioni per la squadra di calcio, il padre sembra non accorgersene. Finalmente Brody ottiene il risultato che cercava: scopre un vaccino per eliminare l'allergia degli esseri umani ai cani. Ma non ha fatto però i conti con Mr.Tinkles, un gatto persiano cattivissimo che guida il movimento felino mondiale contro quello canino...
