Peter Parker, abbandonato bambino dai suoi genitori, cresce con gli zii Ben e May. Ormai liceale, non ha amici e s'innamora della compagna di scuola Gwen Stacy. Un giorno il giovane scopre una misteriosa valigetta che apparteneva al padre e decide di indagare sulla scomparsa dei suoi genitori.
